Climate change resilience: Science-based targets workshop

By The Carbon Trust

Date and time

Thu, 13 Feb 2020 08:30 - 11:00 GMT

Location

The Carbon Trust

27-45 Stamford Street London SE1 9NT United Kingdom

Description

Join fellow directors at a scenario planning workshop on science-based targets in partnership with Chapter Zero, the Directors' Climate Forum.

A carbon emissions target is defined as ‘science-based’ if it is in line with the level of decarbonisation required to keep the global temperature increase well-below 2°C compared to pre-industrial temperatures. Setting a science-based target enables businesses to align themselves with the carbon reduction commitments made under the Paris Agreement.

We will also be running a pilot workshop providing an overview of how companies can use science-based target methodologies to set corporate carbon emission reduction targets to respond to the climate change challenge and shape their business strategy.

There will also be the opportunity to network with fellow Non-Executive Directors on these issues.

Please note this event is for Non-Executive Directors only. We reserve the right to decline any unsuitable applications.
